Infiltrator operates some of largest molding machines and robotics producing the largest plastic molded parts in the world. IWT has always and continues to compete on innovation; we hold over 200 patents.

Responsibilities

POSITION OVERVIEW: 

  1. Manage current Supplier relationships and drive continuous improvements for best in class performance.
  2. Discover and develop new strategic Suppliers.
  3. Develop and implement risk management processes to support Production.
  4. Track markets and purchase materials at competitive prices.
  5. Ensure procurement of quality materials.
  6. Meet inventory goals by procuring optimal quantities using forecasts and risk mitigations.

 CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Represent the Purchasing organization in daily operations.
  2. Work in Enterprise System (JDEdwards Enterprise One) to enter data, data mining and prepare reports.
  3. Accurately maintain monthly reports to track and report KPI’s set in annual SQDCI goals.
  4. Develop, evaluate, and maintain relationships with established Supply base.
  5. Research and engage new Suppliers to diversify, mitigate risks, and support company growth objectives.
  6. Conduct and maintain daily work efficiently and quickly i.e., PO management, emails, sample testing, deviations, rejections, etc.
  7. Partner with Quality Department to process samples and approve new Suppliers or material streams.

Desired Skills:

  1. Strong communication skills and ability to problem solve with internal and external teams.
  2. Experience with plastics, grinding, and extrusion operations.
  3. Exposure to plastics supplier negotiations, markets, contracts, and pricing agreements.
  4. Strong attention to detail and follow-through in a fast paced environment.
  5. Degree in Business Management or Supply Chain.
  6. CPSM, CSCP, or CPIM Certification.
  7. Utilized JDEdwards Enterprise One.

QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Minimum 5 years’ of material purchasing with ownership of cost, delivery, and quality.
  2. Minimum 3 years’ in the recycled or prime plastics industry of Polypropylene and Polyethylene, specifically virgin or post-industrial/post-consumer recycled materials.
  3. Experience leading negotiations of price, material specifications, terms, and lead times.
  4. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically proficient with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  5. Ability to present summarized data to management.

IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE:

Under the leadership of the Purchasing Manager, the incumbent would be able to:

  • Update and summarize reports as directed by management.
  • Conduct supplier visits with Purchasing Manager to validate potential Suppliers, verify material suitability, and build partnerships.
  • Manage sample collection, testing, and data evaluation.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvements both internally and externally
  • Negotiate and implement win-win agreements.
  • Utilize monthly Vendor Score Card’s to communicate status and areas of opportunity for Supplier improvements.
