Responsibilities

ROLE OVERVIEW:

This position requires an individual who can work in a high-performance environment. Attention to details, and team oriented are a must.  This position is responsible for ensuring safety rules and written procedures are always followed and can coach and train employees on a continuous basis.  This leader also incorporates the use of all technologies and equipment provided to manage the workload of his/her subordinates efficiently and effectively.

 

Job Description:

  • Manage material processing functions (extrusion, grinding, receiving, blending and internal transfers)
  • Ensure a safety and ethical work environment for all team members. Fulfills managerial responsibilities in accordance with IWT’s policy and procedures, including executing disciplinary actions as needed
  • Responsible for maintaining and improving operational efficiency of processes and equipment in material processing
  • Manage internal fleet of trucks, trailers and tankers, including PMs, repairs and replacements
  • Responsible for managing inventory in the warehouse, balancing age and health of available material while ensuring inventory accuracy
  • Ensure execution compliance as per ISO processes defined and define new SOPs/WIs needed for the evolving operation
  • Coordinate with production, planning, purchasing & maintenance to ensure operational continuity
  • Responsible for achieving function KPIs as defined. Also holding the team responsible by delegating/defining KPIs and targets for individual team members
  • Maintain daily/weekly/monthly metrics for use across the operation
  • Leads the team, providing feedback and perform performance reviews per company policy
  • Responsible for continuous improvement/value creation within material processing function by through equipment and/or processes updates to achieve operational excellence and cost savings on an ongoing basis
  • Maintain housekeeping standards inside and outside of all facilities
  • Responsible for employee training, development and retention

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience managing processes, warehousing and logistics
  • Demonstrate ability to lead and manage staff
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects

Education:

  • 10-year relative experience
